Email JeffJeff joined the staff of FBC Monahans in January 2011 as the Associate Pastor of Education and Student Ministries. He is a native of Waco, Texas and a proud graduate of Baylor University. (Sic 'em Bears!) Jeff received his Master of Arts in Christian Education at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.
Jeff accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior as a 13-year-old and then surrendered to vocational ministry while attending a Youth Evangelism Conference as an 18-year-old. Since then, he has served in such ministry roles as Sunday School teacher, home group leader, student minister and associate pastor.
Jeff is supported in his ministry by Catherine, his wife of 13 years. Catherine assists in the student ministry, sings in the church choir, and is the church webmaster. Jeff and Catherine are proud parents of Nicholas and Megan. In his spare time, Jeff loves watching sports (especially baseball!), reading great fiction books, hanging out with his wife and kids, and playing sports video games.
Jeff's favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:6: "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." His favorite person in the Bible (other than Jesus) is the Apostle Paul, who showed that God can take someone completely opposed to Him and turn that person into His best example of what a Christian should be.
